Come to Push, Nevada! Nestled beneath the great, blue skies of central Nevada, Push proudly displays the rugged vigor of its Old West past. Ever since prospectors first arrived along the ancient "Spanish Trail," locals have enjoyed a healthy outdoors lifestyle in this desert oasis. During the days we swim and play golf. In the evenings we take long walks in the warm desert twilight. And for those who love the Great Outdoors, Push has some of the region's best Desert Birding, Extreme Camping and Speed Hunting - all just a short walk from our downtown business district.
We locals care about Push and enjoy an active civic life. Most of us participate in civic associations, especially the wonderful Armadillo Lodge. Like a desert cactus enduring drought and indifference, the Armadillos display the best of small-town civic mindedness. Their spirited commitment represents the rare qualities that make Push such a family-friendly community. Young Push families also appreciate the town's low cost of living, its quiet streets for freckle-faced kids, and the best public school system for hundreds of miles. In fact, there is probably no town in the area that is more dedicated toward supporting its schools: every Friday night in the fall, four generations of Push locals fill the bleachers at Push High to cheer our "Fighting Roadrunners" 6-man football team as they fight fiercely for Push Pride!
Among our friends who live elsewhere, Push is also a popular resting spot on the way to Las Vegas, Reno, or the Sierra Nevada Mountains. While most stop to enjoy our world-class entertainment and accommodations, many come just to see the Nevada Cactus Museum and its exhibit of mysterious cacti depicting the American Presidents. With museums, entertainment and a wonderful quality of life, it's no wonder that our motto is "Push, Nevada: It's Hot!"
