As our membership increases, our power to be heard increases.  It's easier to ignore one person than it is one large group of people.  Membership is free and open to all.

Let your elected officials know that you want them to support alternative transportation measures!

You can find a complete list of the members of congress, with links to their websites here.  Take a moment to send them an email or fill out the form on their page asking that they consider the country's dependence on oil as well as their constituents health, safety, and future by supporting measures for alternative transportation.  You can also send mail to the President and Vice President requesting the same.

Practice what you preach!

Reduce your dependency on your car.  Try walking for short trips and biking for those that are a bit longer.  Carpool with a coworker or take public transportation.  One less person driving saves gallons of gasoline.
