Take Action!

Organize city-wide projects like shutting down one street to traffic for the day. For ideas on planning an alternative transportation project in your city (like a car-free day), see examples of our past events and browse our upcoming event calendar.

Coordinate neighborhood events with schools, health agencies, cycling organizations and walking groups.

Hold community and government dialogues about sustainable transportation and other policy options.

Write a press release to attract publicity for your event. For a sample, check out Earth Day Network's ECFD 2001 press release.
