Previous Versions Now Unsupported

November 9, 2001: Due to ongoing litigation issues about which we are unable to comment, Net:Sight Solutions is no longer able to support previous versions of the Net:Sight Browser. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this break in service, and rest assured that our legal department is working round-the-clock to refute these unfounded allegations.

Version 3.0 Features Announced

November 5, 2001: Net:Sight Solutions is pleased to be able to announce some of the new features in its eagerly anticipated Version 3.0 suite. Net:Sight Mail was the first to be unveiled, boasting collection from multiple mailboxes, a learning agent to help you organise your messages, support for all major encryption technologies, advanced filtering tools and integrated support for voicemail. Net:Sight Editor will allow the user to implement complex DHTML by using an intuitive graphical interface, and like Mail it will also benefit from a learning agent to help the user with repetitive tasks. For Net:Sight Web:Server the emphasis has been on stability, reliability and interoperability; it will be scalable up to 10,000 concurrent users, and will support all standard and emergent technologies. In contrast, Net:Sight Browser will not have many new features; rather the focus here has been on streamlining what is seen by many as a working product that the public are familiar with. "The Browser's functionality has remained mostly intact on the surface, so that users who are familiar with the product won't need to learn a whole new UI, but the underlying code has been given a complete rewrite, to ensure that the final product is as compact as possible - something that helps redistribution. When you download our Browser, you won't have to spend an hour over it like you'd have to for some other companies' offerings." (Eric Wyngarde, Research and Development).
