Company History

December 13, 1994: Jan van Holt meets Eric Wyngarde at Oxford University, England. Net:Sight Solutions is formed. Jan and Eric start writing the browser.

February 3, 1995: Net:Sight Browser 1.0 (for Windows 3.1) is released. This marks the company's first official product release. The features of the original 16-bit browser include image caching, dynamic memory partitioning, and the intelligent agent.

July 23, 1996: Net:Sight Browser 1.1 is officially released. This is the first 32-bit version, which adds support for Windows 95, NT4 and OS/2 platforms.

September 9, 1997: Net:Sight Browser 1.2 is released, adding MacOS, Irix and Solaris support.

March 18, 1999: Net:Sight Browser 2.0 is released, adding support for Windows 98 and RedHat Linux.

May 17, 2000: Net:Sight Browser 2.1 is released, adding support for Windows 2000.

October 10, 2001: Net:Sight Solutions announces the Version 3.0 Suite, comprising Net:Sight Browser, Net:Sight Mail, Net:Sight Editor and Net:Sight Web:Server.
