Charlotte Perkins Gilman Charlotte Perkins Gilman published The Forerunner, one of the first feminist magazine, making her one of the first grrls on the zine scene.  Her life wasn't the easiest, but she overcame and helped women everywhere.

Mary Wollstonecraft A grrl like none other!  Mary Wollstonecraft paved the way for the feminist movement in the early 1800s, way ahead of her time.

Elizabeth Blackwell: grrl in medicine Elizabeth Blackwell helped paved the way for grrls in medicine and proved that "nothing can stop a woman who has made up her mind”.

Pearl S. Buck  Pearl S. Buck was the first American woman to win the Pulitzer Prize.  By writing on women, she learned how we survive and shared that knowledge with the world.
